For electro-mechanical and impeller-type logs, the Log Correction (or Log Coefficient) does not vary with vessel speed. The Log Speed turns into True Speed using the Log Correction (or Log Coefficient). Just as for the distance correction.

It is not necessary at the logs that have automatic correction device. The log provides corrected speed.

At the mechanical logs where the Log Correction (or Log Coefficient) varies with ship’s speed, the correction of the speed is more complicated.

The Excel file contains various examples that can be deleted and edited with your data.
