Corrected Visibility Distance.

To find out the Corrected Visibility Distance to an object is necessary to apply a correction to the visibility distance given on the charts.

Correction for Height of Eye.

In nautical charts and documents, the maximum distance at which various objects may be seen at sea is given for a standard height of eye of 5 m, for Metric Charts, or 15 feet, for British / Imperial Charts.
